Bee Creative

I joined my first bee! Our first block is a Union Jack. We were supposed to do it in whatever colors we wanted. It's a paper pieced block, which is super intimidating to me! I decided to practice with this block. I forgot a few times to add the outside seam allowance to the pieces, and I had to unpick about 8 seams, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I don't love these color choices, so I think I'm going to use something else for my real block!

I love the bright colors of this block. Since the SBS Paper Piecing month, I love doing it. It's so precise.

I am in the same Bee and I have really struggled with this one. I have never paper pieced before. I did three trial ones and now I am about to do the real one. I hope it turns out. I forgot the seam allowance too so had to start over once for that.

Hi, I stumbled across your blog by accident but I'm glad I did. You make adorable stuff. I have been wanting to join a quilting bee group but I don't know how to go about joining one. Any advice? Thanks!
